The new San Diego FBI Divisional Office will offer 273,000 square feet of Class A office space. The campus consists an office building and a vehicle maintenance annex. It is situated on an 11.2 acre site that is a few blocks north of the intersection of Mira Mesa Boulevard and I-805. The location preserves two-acres of sagebrush conservation area and offers immediately freeway access to both I5 and I805. This new build-to-suit lease project will meet the FBI’s long-term office needs in San Diego, giving the agency a cost-savings opportunity to consolidate several offices and gives it room to expand in the future, if necessary. The facility will have sufficient space for the current and projected workforce and support an enhanced IT infrastructure. The architectural image of the six-level office building is one of a high-performance sustainable building that evokes strength and timelessness with its broad expanses of glass and striking entry atrium. The facility is designed to be constructed to meet United States Green Building Council LEED Gold through a comprehensive sustainable design approach across all six categories of the LEED system.
